Residents in Lugar and Logan will be affected by a closure of the A70 this week.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA), which carries out work on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, will close a section of the A70 for carriageway resurfacing.
A 25-mile diversion is in place for those coming to and from Lugar while the work is carried out.
Resurfacing work will be carried out on a section of the A70 close to its junction with Glenmuir Road towards Logan.
From Monday, August 26 until Friday, August 30, work will begin under temporary traffic management and a convoy system.
According to the ARA website, a full closure will then be in place on the section of road, cutting off access to Glenmuir Road, from 8am until 8pm on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1.
Those travelling to and from Logan will have to use the back road to Craigens via Loganhill Road and Craigens Road to access Cumnock for the duration of the closure.
A diversion route for drivers along the A70 will be signed via B743 Sorn to Mauchline, A76 Cumnock A70 and vice versa.
More information can be found on the Ayrshire Roads Alliance website.
