A flood alert has been issued for the whole of Ayrshire and Arran.
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) sent out the warning, following on from a yellow warning issued by the Met Office earlier this week.
SEPA's warning is in place from late Wednesday evening (August 21) until the morning of Thursday, August 22.
This is similar to the Met Office's yellow warning for heavy rain and strong wind this week, which is in place from Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning.
SEPA has issued the warning right across Ayrshire and Arran, and the environnment body says that heavy rain could cause disruption, especially in the north.
It's added that this could lead to some isolated property flooding and transport disruption.
SEPA's advice reads: "Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.
"Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 9881188.
"This flood alert is now in force until further notice and was sent by phone and SMS free of charge to registered customers of our Floodline direct warning service.
"If you haven't already signed up to receive free flood messages, please call Floodline or register online at sepa.org.uk/floodingsignup.
"Your Floodline quick dial number for this area is 24200."
