An incredible £47,000 was raised for the Ayrshire Hospice at the recent Colour Dash fundraiser.

The popular annual event saw people from all over Ayrshire and beyond head to Eglinton Park in Kilwinning for the popular 5K race.

The Colour Dash raises essential funding for the hospice's work providing end of life care for those most in need across the county.

And after a spectacular turnout at the 2024 dash, the Hospice team told this year's runners: "You are all incredible."

Entrants were allowed to run, walk or jog through showers of coloured powder before reaching the finishing line through a 50ft assault course and slide.

A Hospice spokesperson said: "We’re excited to announce that an incredible £47,601.57 was raised at our Colour Dash back in June.

"This will help us provide care and support to our patients and those they love across Ayrshire and Arran.

"Thank you to all the participants, volunteers, and sponsors who made this event such a phenomenal success.

"It was wonderful to see the community come together on what was an unforgettable day."
