A MAN has appeared in court charged in relation to child sexual offences.
Gordon Brown, 69, made no plea to a pair of charges when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Thursday, August 15.
He faced two charges: one of causing an older child to look at a sexual image, and one of communicating indecently with an older child.
It follows the arrest of a man in the Mauchline area on Wendesday, August 14.
Following his court appearance, Mr Brown, who is described as an East Ayrshire resident, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He is due to return to court in the coming weeks.
All accused persons reported in the Cumnock Chronicle are considered innocent unless they later admit the charge(s) against them or are found guilty.
