THE team at Visions Leisure Centre in Cumnock has teased the prospect of extended opening hours for its users.
The centre opened back in 2004 and has been run ever since by Cumnock and District Leisure Group.
Last year, the centre was given a funding boost by East Ayrshire Council to deal with financial pressures.
Plans are now moving forward for some changes at the centre, including earlier opening times, as asked for by the public.
The Visions team also recently welcomed a new team member on board, as part of a community funding boost from the 9CC group via Cumnock Community Council.

Now, the team has announced that, as well as recently installing a new plumbing system to have hot showers throughout the centre, there may be some earlier opening times on the horizon.
In a social media post a spokesperson said: "You told us that our opening times didn't always fit your lifestyle. That's why when the clocks change, so will our hours. Earlier opening, later closing and Sundays!"
The team are hoping to have a new timetable in place for the end of October, which could include opening at 7am three days a week- likely to be a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Right now, the centre is open:
- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 8.30am-8pm
- Wednesday and Friday: 1pm-8pm
- Saturday: 7.45am-12.45am
- Sunday: Closed
The Visions have said that more details will be released in due course on their Facebook page.
