Bin collections in East Ayrshire will be going ahead as usual this week, despite fears they would be cancelled.
As reported earlier this week, planned strikes have been suspendede after trade unions received improved pay deals from councils.
The proposed deal would see a 3.6 per cent increase for all grades of staff, with a rise of £1,292 for the lowest paid, equivalent to 5.63 per cent.

The strikes were set to affect East Ayrshire starting from tomorrow (August 14) when recycling trolleys in some parts of the area were due to be collected.
Industrial action was due to last until Wednesday, August 21 (inclusive), but that has been delayed for the moment.
Unite and the GMB had taken the weekend to consider the proposal which it will now put to its members. Unison are yet to announce a decision.
Reminding residents to put out their bins, East Ayrshire Council said: "Industrial action that was due to impact waste collection services from Wednesday 14 August until Wednesday 21 August has been postponed.
"Please present your bins as normal."
