A man has been arrested and charged after a weekend "disturbance" involving two women in Cumnock, according to police.
The incident happened shortly before 2am on Sunday, August 4.
A 39-year-old man was arrested and charged after the disturbance on Townhead Street.
He was later released and is due to appear at court.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "Around 1.55am on Sunday, August 4, 2024, police received a report of a disturbance in Townhead Street, Cumnock involving a man and two women.
"Officers attended and a man aged 39 was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"He was released on an undertaking and will appear in court at a later date."
