A Cumnock-based housing association has warned against an apparent scam alert.
Shire Housing Association, which owns almost 1,000 homes across East Ayrshire, said it has been made aware of a potential scammer contacting one of their tenants.
The company has moved forward to assure tenants that any employees would not ask for certain information over the phone.

According to Shire, one tenant was contacted by someone claiming to be from the company, and asking the tenant for information, such as their address.
If anyone is unsure about the legitimacy of a call, they can contact Shire's office on 01290 421130.
A spokesperson for the company said: "A tenant has been in touch to advise that a company has just called her claiming to be Shire Housing Association.
"They asked questions such as, when is your boiler due replaced, do you have damp and mould but most importantly they asked for the tenants address.
"Please note - Shire Housing will always know your details such as name, address, date of birth.
"So if you are not sure if the call is from Shire Housing Association, terminate the call and call us on our office number.
"Please share this alert with friends or family".
