DRIVERS in the Cumnock area are being warned of an upcoming road closure lasting more than four days.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA), which carries out work on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, will close Loganhill Road while Scottish Water work is carried out.
The road will be closed for around 700 metres from its junction with Craigens Road towards the A76 for New Cumnock.
Loganhill Road is used by some drivers as a shorter route from the Logan and Lugar area towards New Cumnock and vice-versa, since it bypasses Cumnock itself.
Work is due to last from 4.45am on Monday, August 5 until 11am on Friday, August 9.

Drivers heading northbound from New Cumnock towards Logan will be diverted via the A76, turning on to the B7083 at the Skerrington roundabout and right on to Craigens Road to rejoin Loganhill Road.
Southbound drivers will follow the same route in reverse.
The road will be closed from its junction with Craigens Road for around 700m towards the A76 for New Cumnock.
ARA says days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions.
