A smash hit musical comedy is set for Cumnock's Town Hall this August.

Described as a combination of The First Wives Club and Still Game, The Provy Wummin will be in Cumnock for the very first time.

Accompanied with a soundtrack from the 70s, the show will be on stage in Cumnock on Friday, August 23 from 7.30pm.

Tickets for the show are priced at £18 and can be purchased on the East Ayrshire Leisure website.

A description for the show says: "It’s 1979 and Margaret Morrison is about to chap your door, offering a way out to make ends meet, in the form of a Provy Cheque.

"Join Oor Margaret as she chaps the doors and rings a few doorbells, introducing you to some of the women behind those doors, in this riotous, laugh out loud musical comedy, with some guest appearances by The Avon Lady, The Tupperware and of course, Ann Summers."
