Plans have been approved which will see transformation work take place at a former Catrine chippy.
A submission to East Ayrshire Council's planning department sought to carry out work on the old Dino's Café on Mill Square.
The business closed earlier this year after the owner decided to retire.
A sign was posted on the former front door alerting passers-by to the closure and thanking locals for their custom over the years.
Approval has now been granted to transform the ground floor of the building and to make it suitable for residential rather than business use.

External alterations to the building are also planned, including removal of signage from the building.
Under the proposals, lodged by Munro Architects of Kilmarnock on behalf of applicant Dino Carrino, the doorway that led into the café from Mill Square will be blocked up, with the former takeaway area to be used as residential storage.
Plans were given the green light earlier this week, with the application receiving no letters of objection.
