A busy road in Mauchline will be closed for a night at the start of next month to allow rail bridge inspection work to be carried out.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, will carry out the work along Barskimming Road.
Bridge inspection work will take place, causing a closure of the road around 75m in each direction.
The closure is set to take place from 10pm on Thursday, August 1 until 6am on Friday, August 2.
A diversion will be in place for drivers via the A76 towards Cumnock, A70 to Coalhall, and then through the B730, C82 and C3 roads to Mauchline, and vice versa.
