A 40-mile diversion will be in place for work taking place in Patna at the beginning of August.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, which carries out work on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, will undertake work on Jellieston Terrace in Patna, leading to a full road closure at certain times.
The road will be closed from Dalharco Avenue to Doonbank Care Home for 864m.
A closure will be in place from 8am on Saturday, August 3 until 8pm on Sunday, August 4.
It will then be closed again on Saturday, August 10 at 8am until Sunday, August 11 at 8pm.
The road will be open out-with these times.
An alternative route will be signed via:
- A713 to Dalmellington turning left onto B741 travel to A76 New Cumnock turn left and head towards the A70 Ochiltree then travel to Coylton then take a left turn onto B742 which takes you back onto A713 and vice versa.
An alternative HGV route has been set:
- Traffic should proceed via A713 to Dalmellington turning left onto B741 travel to A76 New Cumnock turn left and head towards the A70 Ochiltree then take a left turn onto U728 and then a left turn onto B7046 through to Drongan then back onto the A70 to avoid the low level railway bridge and vice versa.
