Logan Gala day: Week of village events to begin on Monday

A week of events will begin from July 15, and will include all sorts of entertainments, music and fun for all ages, hosted by the Logan Community Events group.

This year will also see a first tug-of-war event take place, with organisers on the lookout for teams to take part.

Last year saw the first event take place following the pandemic, with hundreds of keen locals turning out to support the gala and its organisers.

This year's programme features a family fun night, a car treasure hunt, prize bingo, a bowling event and a children's disco, all leading up to the grand finale, the Logan Gala Day, on Saturday, July 20.

The main day will include a street parade, a dance competition and the gala king and queen will be crowned.

Funding has been an issue for this year's event, with organisers still keen for any local businesses or groups to help out where possible.

The team in charge say they have not received any extra funding this year, and in return for any sponsors or donations, they will advertise businesses who support the gala on the day and on social media.
