Plans have been passed to transform a vacant shop building in New Cumnock.
Proposals were sent to East Ayrshire Council's planning department in April to change the derelict shop on Lime Road, which has not been in use for years.
With approval granted, the shop will now be transformed into a one-bedroom home.
Applicant, Mr Mike Robbins, plans to change the shop space of the building into a lounge and bedroom area.

The shop's old office space would be altered into a new kitchen area for the home, with a shower room included.
According to the application, work had already started on changing the building, prior to an application being submitted.
The application states: "Work started based on acquiring a building warrant in 2016. I believed that planning permission was still in place."
"Work initially commenced on the building in 2017, and a decision is expected to be made by councillors in July."

Ayrshire Roads Alliance and Scottish Water had no objections to the plans, which will also include the installation of new windows and doors and other external repairs.
A report of handling with the approval said: "The building does not appear to be in poor or unsafe physical condition and as such a structural engineer’s report was not considered to be necessary in this case.
"Having considered all the relevant matters such as the material considerations highlighted within this report, there are none that would warrant the refusal of the application to outweigh the provisions of the development plan."
