Plans have been submitted to build a collection of new homes in Lugar close to where an application for 15 homes had been earmarked.
Rome Developments Ltd, of Nantwich, Cheshire, planned to build 15 new homes on vacant land at the former Lugar Ironworks site, off Peesweep Brae.
However, the site was recently put up for sale, although the plans have not officially been withdrawn from the East Ayrshire Council planning pages.

Now, DM Architectural Services plan to build five new homes on nearby land, where a row of cottages once stood on Peesweep Brae.
Plans would see three-bedroom homes built on the site, with an access road coming from Peesweep Brae.
It's not been revealed if the current wall in place would be demolished, which was created from the remains of the former homes on the site.
17 new parking spaces would also be created as part of the planned homes, which would overlook part of the Lugar Parish Church grounds.
Plans were validated by East Ayrshire Planning chiefs at the end of June, with a decision on the plans expected by the beginning of September.
