It was a case of less words, more action at Barshare Primary School in July 2004 when they got a visit from renowned mime artist Eduardo Sanchez. The Peruvian star dazzled pupils with his skills and afterwards even taught them a few of his tricks with a special workshop.

After 24 years of service, Betty Muir retired from her post as clerical assistant at St John’s Primary School in Cumnock back in 2004. As part of a presentation made by the children for her years of hard work, Betty was given a watch and a planter for the garden.
