An eco-friendly Cumnock shop has been shortlisted for an award thanks to their work towards net zero.
The Way Forward 2045 on Ayr Road opened at the end of 2022, and vowed to offer the town a more environmentally-friendly way of doing their groceries.
The shop supplies refillable, plastic-free food products, and a variety of hot food and other products.

Family-run, with James Pring and mum Wendy the brains behind the operation, the team has been nominated for a VIBES Scottish Environment Business Award, in the category for VIBES 2024 Just Transition Scotland.
The awards recognises organisations that best demonstrate their work towards net zero.
A site visit is planned for mid-July from the VIBES judging panel and partner organisations.
VIBES state that “businesses in Scotland are taking significant steps to improve or reduce their impact on the environment, often saving money in the process.
"The VIBES Scottish Environment Business Awards are held each year to recognise and showcase best practice.”
The Way Forward was initially created by 2020, when James and Wendy were looking at ways to help save the planet.
Wendy said: “For me and our small team this is a major win whether we win on the day.
"This is about showcasing how business can be purpose led, how business can lead by example and how business can make strides quickly and fairly to support climate, economy and people.
"Well done to our whole team and thank you for the unending support which is not easy in a start-up but doing what we do too, it makes us extra award winning in my eyes.
"Thank you to all our customers in Ayrshire and beyond who also continuously support our vision.”
