A fun day was held in Dalmellington recently to mark the launch of the village's community action plan.
Running over the next five years, until 2029, the Dalmellington Parish Development Trust (DPDT) held the event with hundreds of locals attending.
The formal launch of the trust’s community action plan too place with performances by local schoolchildren and by members of the Dalmellington Brass Academy.
A celebration fun day was then the main attraction, with a free mini fairground for children and a food van on site.
The day was supported by funds from community benefits from wind farm engineering companies like Vattenfall, Red Rock and Brockwell, as well as support from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.
Speaking about the day, a DPDT representative said: "A big thank you to everyone involved in the process over the last 18 months.
"Thank you to the local community and Vibrant Communities for providing the information required to complete this Plan.
"A great day was had at the launch event, thank you for your community support once again.
"Thanks to all the volunteers who helped on the day. Special thanks to Craig Fulton at East Ayrshire Council, Cllr Jennifer Hogg for speaking, Dalmellington Band and our local school children for entertainment.
"A big thank you to the funders who helped make this day happen - Brockwell Energy, Coalfields Regeneration Trust, Red Rock Power Ltd and Vattenfall Wind Power Ltd."
