A MAN has died after being injured in an incident at a commercial premises in Mauchline.
The 24-year-old, from Largs, was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the incident in Kilmarnock Road on Friday, June 28.
Police said the man died in hospital on Wednesday, July 3.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 24-year-old man who was injured at a commercial premises in Kilmarnock Road, Mauchline has died.
"Emergency services attended the incident around 8.40am on Friday, June 28, and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
"He died on Wednesday, July 3.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
The man's identity has not yet been made public.
A spokesperson for the Health and Safety Executive said: "“We are aware of this incident and investigating.”
