The organisers of a New Cumnock fitness event with a twist have revealed that this year's event will include some surprise additions.
New Cumnock Development Trust (NCDT) held the first FitFest event last year, which was attended by more than 2,000 people.
The day included the likes of a huge inflatable assault course, a zip line and many other fitness-related activities.
Scottish Power's community benefits fund supports the event, with the likes of East Ayrshire Council's Vibrant Communities, Active Schools and East Ayrshire Leisure Trust all getting involved this year.
All the favourite activities from last year will be returning this year, with some added extras, and it's all totally free.
This year's FitFest will take place on Sunday, September 1 from 12-5pm at Greenhead playing fields.
Laura Pagan from NCDT said: "My aim was to create an event that would get people out and active, and then they could learn and see about other things in the community.
"This year it will be taking on the same kind of format with the different zone, but we’re obviously looking to keep building on from the previous year and making it bigger and better.
"One of the big differences this year is we’re working with the ski slope in Newmilns, so they’re actually coming with mats to do tubing down the hill.
"There really is something for all ages at this, because we’re incorporating something for kids under five this year as well.
"We want to give it that whacky feeling because there’s such a mixture of things and it’s absolutely free.
"Anyone with a sport and activity background can come along on the day and get involved as well, because we're keen to promote the healthy lifestyle aspect of this event."

Ayrshire Sportability will also be coming along on the day to offer the chance to play boccia, as well as classes for chair aerobics taking place.
There will also be music throughout the day, as well as a strongman competition in partnership with The Unit in Cumnock.
The NCDT team have been to ensure the day can be enjoyed by everyone in the community, as Laura believes this is the type of thing New Cumnock and the wider area can benefit from.
She added: "This is very much a New Cumnock Development Trust event and there’s so much work that goes into this one day.
"Last year was almost like a trial because it was something so unique and different for this area and for Ayrshire as a whole.
"There’s not many days out that you could go as a family, keep entertained all day and not have to spend a penny if you don’t want, all while keeping active.
"This kind of thing can help New Cumnock get its identity back because it’s not totally recovered since the mines closed.
"So there’s a lot happening here and it’s great to show New Cumnock in this way."
