A home in Mauchline was allegedly targeted by vandals late on Monday night (July 1).

Police say they are looking into reports of damage to a property in the town, after being alerted to a call just after 11pm.

It's believed the damage includes items being thrown throw a window of the property. Thankfully, nobody is believed to have been hurt in the incident.

Officers say that their response is at an early stage and gave no indication as to what the motivation behind the incident was.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.15pm on Monday, 1 July, 2024 we received a report of damage to a property on Kilmarnock Road in the Mauchline area.

"Enquiries are at an early stage."
