The village of Sanquhar recently held its annual Armed Forces Day commemoration.
Held to remember the men and women in service and to thank them for all they've done, the day is marked every year at the end of June.
This year's ceremony was once again held outside Sanquhar Tolbooth, with members of the local Royal British Legion (RBL) Scotland, community councils, local councillors, pupils from Sanquhar Primary and Sanquhar Academy, politicians and members of the public all present.
A VIP guest at the event was Brigadier Campbell Close, who hails from Sanquhar.
Norman Burns, chairman of Sanquhar Community Council and Fiona Armstrong, Lord Lieutenant of Dumfries and Galloway, raised the flag of remembrance outside the Tolbooth.
