A long-standing Ochiltree Primary School assistant is retiring after more than 30 years of service at the school.
Senior clerical assistant, Mrs Elizabeth Shannon, has announced that she will be retiring, after starting her work in the early 1990s.
She has been an amazing asset to Ochiltree Primary with giving the kids her time over the years.
During her time, Mrs Shannon has also taught hundreds of youngsters how to swim over the past 14 years, as well as winning three Scottish Relays with her swim teams over the years.
That's in addition to the numerous cups the swim teams won over these years, with Mrs Shannon herself winning an East Ayrshire award for her service within the swimming.
Swimming hasn't been her only amazing achievement at Ochiltree, Mrs Shannon has also been assisting in the kids football ball teams for 25 years.
In that time her hard work with the various teams has seen Ochiltree Primary football teams winning the Shankley cup three times, winning the Talbot cup final twice and making it to the Ayrshire cup final.
Those in Ochiltree say that Mrs Shannon has been an amazing asset to their community school and will be greatly missed.
