Plans for a new illuminated advertising board in Cumnock have been approved.
An application was submitted to East Ayrshire Council for the two metre-tall installation to be created within the grassy area at the front of the Cumnock Juniors Social Club on Townhead Street.
According to the plans, the board will be double-sided and be in place for an estimated 10 years.

A light sensor will be installed in the screen to reduce brightness where required on the 65 inch screen.
The application states: "It is not considered that the proposed advert would have a negative impact on the residential amenity of the area.
"The application site is considered to be a sufficient distance from neighbouring dwellinghouses so as not to cause any visual intrusion, and the proposed light sensor will contribute to this also."
