Pupils and staff from Robert Burns Academy have raised over £1,000 for charity by taking park in a popular Kilmarnock event.
Organised once again by school supply teacher Bernard Shepherd, a team of around 40 tackled the Roon the Toon 10k run in Kilmarnock earlier this month.
It's not the first time a team from the school has raised money for charity, with a group also taking part in the run last year in support of the Yipworld youth project in Cumnock.
Pupils and staff have also tackled The Great Scottish Run to raise funds for Alzheimer Scotland.
Mr Shepherd has taken on many fund-raising events throughout his teaching career, all for a range of different charities, which has led to his pupils catching the bug and taking on similar challenges.
His first venture into a running event came back in 2011, when his 30-year-old son took his own life, leading to an event being held in his honour for Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) and Mind.
This year, the Cumnock runners were raising cash for Ayrshire Cancer Support, with just under £1,500 being raised in total.
A school representative said: "We are hoping to raise funds for Ayrshire Cancer Support, a charity which helps in many different ways all who are affected by cancer, individuals, family, children and friends.
"Just one of the fantastic ways they support is by transporting patients for treatment to various hospitals in the west of Scotland, for example the Beatson Clinic in Glasgow."
