AYRSHIRE music fans planning to attend a much-loved music festival in the Doon Valley next month will be able to travel home free of charge, it's been announced.
Stagecoach West Scotland has announced its backing for the Doonfest event, taking place in Dalrymple on the weekend of July 5 and 6.
Doonfest ticket holders will be able to travel from Dalrymple to Ayr free of charge on the 'Doonfest Express' at the end of both nights of the festival.
Those who want to use the service must contact Doonfest directly to book tickets, as seats will not be available for booking through Stagecoach.
Prebooking is also advised to secure a spot on the bus.
The pickup point will be Main Street, Dalrymple, at 11pm near the festival site entrance, with drop-offs in Ayr's town centre.
Fiona Doherty, managing director of Stagecoach West Scotland, said: "We are thrilled to support Doonfest and its attendees once again this July.
"Ensuring everyone can enjoy this local community festival and return home safely allows individuals to make plans to attend this wonderful event.
"We look forward to supporting the festival goers with sustainable bus transport again this year."
Doonfest is a family-friendly festival organised by a small team of locals with support from the wider community.
The festival programme boasts headline acts including Federation of the Disco Pimp and Talisk, alongside a range of artists and activities for the family.
Festival tickets are available for purchase at doonfest.org/doonfest-24-tickets.
