A MAUCHLINE couple received three very special visitors to help them celebrate 60 years of happy marriage.
Robert and Isabel Gilliland, who tied the knot in 1964, celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary with a little help from Ballochmyle councillor William Lennox and East Ayrshire's Provost, Jim Todd.
They both paid a visit to the couple's home in the town to pass on the local authority's congratulations and to give them a bouquet of flowers.
Also visiting the Gillilands to help them mark the special occasion was Ayrshire deputy lieutenant Eric Ross, who presented a card of congratulations from the King and Queen Consort.
