A free wellbeing event is being held in Cumnock to support the health of adults in the area.

Cumnock Juniors Community Enterprise (CJCE) will be working in partnership with Coalfields Community Landscape Partnership, The Community Health Activity Team (CHAT), East Ayrshire Council, East Ayrshire Vibrant Communities and BioSynex UK to provide the event.

It will take place on Tuesday, June 11 from 10am-2pm at Townhead Community Sports Hub, Townhead Street.

A selection of free health checks are available, for the likes of:

  • Blood Pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Cholesterol
  • Atrial Fibrillation Detection
  • Body Fat/ Muscle percentage
  • Body Mass Index
  • Height and Weight
  • Prostate

 A CJCE spokesperson said: "The Wellbeing of everyone in our Community is really important to us.

"Many of our programmes support good Physical, Mental and Social wellbeing and contribute to overall good health.

"A lot of our successful work is based on partnership working and sharing goals for the common good."
