NEW Cumnock is the place to be this weekend as the village plays host to a school fayre and gala day.
New Cumnock Primary School’s parent council is holding a summer fayre at the school from 10am until 12 noon on Saturday, June 1, featuring local business stalls, glitter tattoos, a coconut shy, a chance to ‘soak the teacher’ and much more.
Contact any member of the parent council if you’d like to book a table for your business (£10 each). You can also get in touch with the parent council through the school itself by calling 01290 338404.
Then, from 12 noon onwards, all eyes turn to the 2024 New Cumnock Gala Day at the town hall, starting with a procession from the village’s fire station to the square at midday.
The gala day itself runs until 4.30pm and features lots of free entertainment, including a bouncy castle, assault course, soft play, a vehicle display and much more, while pony rides will also be available for a small fee.
For more info on the gala day see the 'New Cumnock Events Group' page on Facebook.
