Cumnock charity hero, Lochlan Murdoch, has claimed a top prize thanks to his tireless work.
The 15-year-old launched the charity, Lochlan's Legacy, alongside his mum Lesley in 2020, to raise awareness of Type 1 Diabetes, which he was diagnosed with at a young age.
Lochlan's work has included walking from all Scottish Premiership football grounds in 2020 to raise money for charity, to delivering speeches and educating people about the condition.
Last year Lochlan's charity was awarded £30,000 in National Lottery funding to run a series of roadshows to empower children and young people with diabetes to manage their condition.
Thanks to all of his effort, Lochlan was award the 'Teenager of Courage' prize at the Pride of Scotland awards.
Held in Glasgow, the award ceremony saw star-studded Scottish celebrities join the event to celebrate people like Lochlan.
Huge Kilmarnock fan, Lochlan, got to meet the likes of former Killie star, Greg Taylor, TV presenter Eilidh Barbour, as well as well-known faces and hosts for the night, Sanjeev Kohli and Elaine C Smith.
Speaking to the Cumnock Chronicle, Lesley Murdoch said she never fails to be proud of how much work Lochlan puts in, and she's grateful to see him getting the recognition he deserves.
Lesley said: "The night was such an unbelievable experience and Lochlan has just been over the moon about the whole thing.
"The decision was made because of all the work he's done with the charity and stuff in the last few years.
"When Lochlan was on stage receiving his award, there was a VT running showing what work had bene done and then a message from Andy Robertson came up congratulating him on what he'd done.
"Obviously with him being a massive football fan, that was just out of this world and I think the whole experience of the night and getting this award certainly feels like a high point of the last few years.
"The way he spoke when he was on stage and the way he conducts himself is incredible, considering there were hundreds of people there and the First Minister and people like that were in the audience.
"Lochlan has known Greg Taylor since he was five, so having him present the award made it that wee bit more special."
It wasn't just a night for Lochlan to enjoy, as Lesley also bumped into some surprising attendees.
Lesley added: "We were all mingling and then this lady came up to me and we were chatting and then she said 'I'm Ewan McGregor's mum'.
"So that was like an 'Oh My God' moment and she said to Lochlan that she can't wait to tell her son about Lochlan.
"It was just an amazing night filled with worthy winners."
It's no time to rest for Lochlan, Lesley and the rest of the charity team as they're taking part in a diabetes talk in Liverpool on Friday, before attending the Cumnock Carnival this Sunday.
