Bringing tennis courts back to the Woodroad Park in Cumnock has been listed as one of the main changes people would like to see.
A paper consultation was carried out by Woodroad Park and Leisure Group last year, with its results being recently released, to see what people in the area wanted to see change.
The consultation is also available online, with over 90 people completing the paper copy.
The leisure group was created to draw people back to the once-popular summer hotspot in Cumnock.
The group is being chaired by Cumnock and New Cumnock Councillor, Neill Watts, who has been vocal about his hopes of improving the vision of Woodroad Park for a long time.
As part of the consultation, top ideas for the Woodroad Park also included more local events, changing rooms and toilets, and a new adventure play area.
Although many people have long wished for a return of the popular swimming pool, it does not look like that will be coming back any time soon.
Cllr Watts was due to have a meeting this week to discuss the possibility of upgrades to the park's adventure area.
From there, further consultations are set to take place, which could shape the eventual future of the park.
Cllr Watts said: "Council contractors will come back to me with around three potential plans and a cost for each, and then we’ll consult on each of them, using kids at schools and kids and Yipworld and things like that.
"Once we’ve done that we’ll see how much that will cost and then we’ll go about trying to get the funds for it.
"There’s a lot of things in the mix, but these things really do take time."
The Scottish Conservative and Unionist representative added: "One of the big things people wanted from the paper consultation we did last year was to bring the tennis courts back.
"If you want to play tennis then you’ve got to go elsewhere, so it’s driving people out of Cumnock.
"The courts were really popular, and the foundations of them are still there, so it might not be too difficult a plan to eventually bring them back.
"Something like that would be quick win for what people want.
"Another top thing people want is more events, so we’ll look at things like that, but we want to make sure we get things right."
