A yellow warning has been issued by the Met Office for later this week.
Following the sunshine of the past few days, rain is set to return over the next couple of days.
According to the Met Office, a yellow rain warning is in place for South and East Ayrshire on Wednesday (May 22) and Thursday (May 23).
The warning also covers areas around Glasgow, as well as Edinburgh and up the East coast towards Dundee and Aberdeen.
However, North Ayrshire set to miss out on the wet weather.
There is a slight chance of power cuts, flooding and damage, according to the warning.
Damp weather could continue over the weekend, but no weather warnings are in place for then.
You can find out more information on the Met Office website.
