A section of the A76 near to the Catrine turn-off has re-opened this morning, following a collision in the early hours.
The Traffic Scotland social media page said that the A76 between Auchinleck and Mauchline had been closed just after midnight.
Further updates were posted at 3.30am, 4.50am, 6.30am and 9am this morning to say the road remains closed.
Northbound traffic had been being diverted via the B713 through Catrine, along the B705 and into Mauchline, and vice versa for southbound traffic.
Now, after being closed for almost nine hours, the road has re-opened.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
