A person was transported to hospital following a call for an air ambulance in Muirkirk today (Monday, May 20).
The vehicle was spotted around the Hardwood Avenue area of the village this morning.
Police were also called to support the Scottish Ambulance Service at the incident.
An ambulance and an air ambulance were called out just before 10am this morning, as a person was taken to hospital.
Their condition is not yet known.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.57am today to attend an incident in Muirkirk.
"One ambulance and one helimed air ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
"One patient was transported to Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock.”
