Cumnock Chronicle: Cemetery

Vandals wreaked havoc on Dalmellington’s cemetery in May 2004, knocking a massive hole in a wall and tipping over headstones. PC Tom Deans is pictured studying the handiwork of the ‘Hole in the Wall’ gang.


Cumnock Chronicle: Twirlers

Baton twirlers Lynette McCulloch, Lauren Howat and Kelly McKinnon showed off the trophies they won from the 2004 Miss Scotland/Scottish Championships. The girls were all members of Shirley’s School of Twirling in New Cumnock.


Cumnock Chronicle: Ghosties

Auchinleck band The Ghosties took their home crowd by storm at a gig in May 2004. The talented trio, John Davidson, Jason Johnstone and Steven Lopez, wowed a capacity crowd at the home turf gig in Auchinleck’s Chapel Hall.

The Cumnock and Doon Valley Sensory Support Group, who assisted those with hearing problems, was officially launched in May 2004. Pictured are chairman Graham Rook with Provost Darnborough and Marjorie Caldwell (volunteer) at the official launch at Cumnock’s Dumfries Arms Hotel.
