An "excellent" care service on the outskirts of Cumnock has been praised for its care of young people.

The Care Inspectorate carried out a visit of Thistlebank Care Home Service on Benston Road recently.

Key messages from the report included a mention that previous residents of the service reported it to be excellent and young people were being fully supported to engage with education.

Thistlebank was given five out of six, meaning it was rated 'very good', in the key category of supporting the rights and wellbeing of children and young people.
