AN AYRSHIRE hotel group is set to re-open one of its newest venues following an extensive overhaul.
The Cumnock-based RAD Hotel Group took over the popular Brig o' Doon Hotel, on the banks of the River Doon in Ayr, back in 2022.
Plans to extend the iconic venue were approved in December, which included extending the capacity of the hotel.
The venue also went through £500,000 worth of investment to its ballroom and wedding fixtures last year.
The latest upgrades have included renovating the executive bedrooms, adding a luxury honeymoon suite, extending the garden lounge bar and introducing a new menu.
The Brig o' Doon will re-open on Thursday, May 16, with bookings now available.
A RAD spokesperson said: "We have been working incredibly hard to ensure our venue is as magical inside as it is outside.
"With Brig o' Doon's historical past on our minds, we have incorporated traditional charm with contemporary interiors and luxurious finishings, ensuring the Brig o' Doon House Hotel is second to none."
