New Cumnock's petrol station has been listed for sale online.

Marketed on the Cornerstone Business Agents website, the filling station on Castle has been listed for sale, with a price of £550,000.

According to the listing, the owners of the premises have put it on the market because they live down south, and are unable to spend as much time with it as they'd like.

The forecourt and shop recently underwent a total revamp, at a time when the owners had also been planning further expansions.

A listing with the property reads: "The property consists of a standard forecourt with Jet branded canopy and small retail shop.

"There are two double sided pumps offering 12 nozzles in total. There is also jetwash, air and vacuum facilities.

"The property also has an MOT station and car repair workshop with 2 ramps which is not currently in use."

It adds: "Our clients have recently overhauled this site with a new fuel supply agreement with Jet starting in September 2023.

"A new canopy was put in along with new pumps and lines and a Fairbanks electronic fuel monitoring system. Fuels tanks were relined during the last year too.

"The shop was also refitted at the same time and is now trading as a Londis. It is well fitted throughout with a good range of refrigeration.

"Our clients have reluctantly placed the business on the market as being based down south they have not been able to push the business on to the levels where it could be.

"The MOT and repair workshop is not currently being used, which previously brought in further income."
