Plans have been approved to host a catering truck on a layby in Muirkirk.
William McCutcheon of B&K Catering, submitted the plans for permission to locate the trailer at Muirkirk Heritage layby, just off of the A70 Smallburn Road.
An official application was sent to the local authority at the start of the year, with plans being given the green light last week.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, which deals with roads issues on behalf of EAC, had no objections to the proposals.
Conditions with the approval will see the catering truck's operational hours limited to 8am-7pm Monday to Friday and 9am-1pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
It's added that the truck must be removed within two weeks in the event of the business ceasing to operate.
