Keen runners can now sign up for two epic East Ayrshire running events.
Registration has this week opened up for the Cairn Table Hill Race and the River Ayr Way Ultra Marathon.
The Cairn Table Hill Race will take place on Wednesday, July 17. It's part of the annual Bog and Burns Hill Running Series, a series of 12 Wednesday evening races, spread out over the summer.
Described on many walking sites as a ‘proper Ayrshire hill,’ the Cairn Table, at 7.2km, is a trail for the most avid runners.
To do this race you should be happy running in the hills and over rough and unmarked terrain and be prepared to be self reliant.
The race will be chip timed and be in a time trial format.
Registration costs £10.
The River Ayr Way Ultra Marathon and Relay will then take place on Saturday, September 14.
This 40-mile ultra marathon takes runners through some of Ayrshire's most spectacular scenery, starting at Glenbuck Loch at 9am and finishing at the mouth of the River Ayr.
Water stations will be available every five miles, with transport available to the start of the race from Ayr or Kilmarnock.
Registration for this event is £60.
More information and registration can be found on the East Ayrshire Leisure website.
