A POPULAR Drongan pub has announced plans to create a new fun day for the village this summer - and have launched a fund-raiser to help them achieve their goal.
Taking inspiration from the popular T In The Park festival, the team at The Boolers, along with Drongan United Grassroots, are hoping to create a Drongan-sized version of the event.
They're hoping to raise £5,000 to host the event in the village, which would offer something for all ages.
Since taking over the building in 2019, Ryan McCubbin has set about transforming The Boolers into a Drongan favourite, which has become a real pillar in the community.
Previously, they've held two annual fun days within their grounds, featuring a bouncy castle, fun stalls and entertainment.
However, The Boolers team are looking to go one step further with 'D In The Park'.
The £5,000 will help go towards making the event as affordable as possible for the people of the village and surrounding areas.
It's hoped that the day can include funfair rides. bouncy castle, entertainment, stalls, music and much more.
The Boolers & Drongan United Grassroots have come together this year to create ‘D in the Park’ which will be this years...

If the day turns out to be a success, there is a hope that it can become an annual fixture.
No date has been set for when the event would take place.
