A FORMER church in Cumnock will be transformed into a home after transformation plans were given the green light.
The former Baptist Church building on Barrhill Road had been listed for sale last year, with an asking price of £90,000.
An application was later submitted to East Ayrshire Council by Mr Iain Shankland to convert the church into a private dwelling house.

According to the 'Places of Worship in Scotland' website, the building, constructed in red sandstone, dates back to 1886/87, though it was rebuilt in 1901 and extended in 1910.
A pink sandstone porch was added to the front of the building in the 1970s.
The current layout of the church includes the large hall, kitchen space, prayer room, study area and storage room.
Under the plans, the converted building will feature two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a kitchen area, with the development aiming to retain much of the building's open hall space during the upgrade work.
No objections had been raised against the plans, which were given the green light by East Ayrshire Council last week.
