A charity hero from Cumnock has thanked all those involved in another successful fund-raiser organised to help people affected by cancer in Ayrshire.
Sharon King, an ambassador for Ayrshire Cancer Support, has held numerous events to support the work of the charity.
Her latest Burns supper was held Saturday, March 9, with the proceeds being split between Ayrshire Cancer Support and Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.
As part of her work for Ayrshire Cancer Support, Sharon was also involved in helping one of the speakers at the supper raise his own money for charity.
Wullie Dick had his hair shaved off, and has raised more than £4,000 so far.
Sharon said: "I held my charity annual Burns Supper on Saturday which was an amazing night.
"The supper was sponsored by Browns Food Group who supplied all the meat, AA Spittal who provided all the vegatables and Pro Industrial Cladding.
"Currently the total is £2,000 with more to come in.
"The chairperson also raised £4,000 shaving all his hair off at one of the suppers.
"Wullie Dick had his hair shaved off for Ayrshire Cancer Support on February 1, setting his goal at £200, but he has already smashed his target."
