Plans for a new development of 17 homes in Cumnock have been lodged with council officials - almost 20 years after approval was granted for 26 homes on the same site.
Viga Developments Ltd has applied to East Ayrshire Council seeking permission for the development on a site next to the Bute House care home, just off Barrhill Road.
The 17 homes would be a variation of three styles, all of them with three bedrooms.

The previous application, by Springfield Homes Ltd, was submitted to the local authority in February 2005 and was granted following a meeting of the council's planning committee seven months later.
The latest application, submitted by the JKM Consultancy on behalf of the developer, is for a 'change of house type' from the original application that was given the green light almost two decades ago.

An initial determination deadline has been set for Friday, May 3, according to the East Ayrshire Council website.
