A popular business in Cumnock looking after people's dogs has announced its sudden closure.
The Longdog Home Boarding facility in Cumnock was an extremely popular place for locals to take their dogs, with care designed for breeds such as dachshunds.
Run by Shirley Taylor, who is originally from Edinburgh, the home had been a favourite with local dog owners for several years.
But the business's sudden closure was announced via a post on its Facebook page on Wednesday, February 28.

"I sincerely apologise to everyone who has bookings, I will contact you individually over the next day or two.
"Thank you to all our customers and followers for supporting us and we do hope that some time in the future we can offer our services to your doggies once again."
