Lugar Boswell has officially gained full control of Rosebank Park.
A recommendation was made to East Ayrshire Council Cabinet to agree to a sale of the ground to the West of Scotland Football League Fourth Division side.
Bosses agreed to move ahead with the sale of the ground to Lugar Boswell for £2,000.
A report said: "Lugar Boswell Thistle Football Club have operated out of Rosebank Park, Lugar for 142 years making Rosebank Park one of the oldest continuously used football grounds in Scotland."

During discussions to increase the length of its current lease with East Ayrshire Council, the club requested to buy the site itself including the car park to the west of the site.
Speaking to Cabinet on the proposals, Cumnock and New Cumnock councillor, Jim McMahon, originally from Logan, said: "It’s had a long and varied history.
"Heart of Midlothian’s biggest ever defeat was imposed by Lugar Boswell, 10-2 going away back.
"I’d like to pay tribute at this point, coming from Logan, to Lugar Boswell Club as a unit itself.
"Because it’s been family-run since I was born and they’ve struggled over the years to keep it going, but if you go Lugar Boswell’s football today you’ll see that their efforts have been completely worthwhile and they’re still managing to put a team of 11 out there."
