The owner of an East Ayrshire pub and restaurant has issued an update to customers after announcing the closure of the restaurant.
We reported this week on the announcement that the Sorn Inn's restaurant had permanently closed, following the appointment of liquidators last year.
But owner David Miller says the building remains in use as holiday apartment lets, with the restaurant and former bar area converted for that purpose.
Mr Miller also says he hopes to have a new public bar open at the venue by the end of March.
Speaking to the Chronicle, he said: "People sometimes forget that The Sorn Inn was actually a hotel.
"We've expanded that part of the business because that's the side of things we've had a lot of enquiries for.
"The restaurant has now been converted into a two-bed apartment, and the old bar at the front is now a deluxe studio.
"This has all been signed off by both planning and building control.
"We've got a great relationship with the local authority and they're really enthused about what we're trying to do."
The hotel and apartments are available for booking online, as well as calling 01290 432016.
David said it was the best option to take for the future of the business.
He added: "It's the way forward because hospitality is a difficult market and it's difficult when you're in a wee place like Sorn.
"We've got loads of bookings for over the summer, so that will be good to bring people to the area as well"
