A takeaway shop on Auchinleck's Main Street has closed down due to "unforeseen circumstances".
Sammi's Takeaway Cakeaway started its journey just under a year ago, as reported in the Cumnock Chronicle.
Run by Sammi Cornelius, the takeaway served as the perfect stop for early morning commuters, due to the shop's ideal location near Auchinleck train station.
A sign on the shop window alerted customers that Sammi's officially closed on January 26, and that the team were "grateful" for the support over the past year.
However, it is added that Sammi's will be looking to open a new premises in East Ayrshire.
It said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the shop will be closing on the 26th of January.
"We were hoping to bring you a new larger café from Sammi's within the town, but unfortunately that fell out with our control.
"Therefore, we had to look elsewhere. We will be opening our new premises in Crookedholm. So, if you're parring by, pop in and say hello.
"We would like to thank all our customers who have shopped with us in the last year and helped make our venture a success.
"For this, we will always be grateful."
