The main road between Ayrshire and Glasgow is currently operating using one lane due to an earlier incident, police have said.
The A77 between Bellfield Interchange and Grassyards Interchange is operating one lane for north and southbound traffic.
It had been closed completely earlier, due to reports of a jack-knifed lorry, which is believed to have happened at around 7am.
however, it has now been partially opened and police are currently in attendance at the scene, and are carefully directing traffic.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
